TOUR DE BIG BEAR

Join us for Southern California’s premier cycling festival, set against the stunning backdrop of the San Bernardino Mountains. From July 31st to August 2nd, 2026, this action-packed event transforms Big Bear Lake into a cycling hub with over nine events spanning road, gravel, and XC MTB — plus family-friendly activities, free events, and the Big Bear Cycling Expo at Bear Mountain Resort.

We offer a wide variety of events (road, gravel, and MTB), adaptive categories, a Cycling Expo, & family-friendly events to engage cyclists of all levels.

Road Events

Take on one our of 25, 50, 70, or 100-mile Gran Fondo events. Conquer Onyx Summit, loop the lake, chase KOMs on Strava, and finish with post-ride party at the Big Bear Cycling Expo.

Dirty Cub (25 mi) & Dirty Bear (50 mi)—flowy mixed surfaces through scenic fire roads and pure fun for riders who like a little dirt in their ride.

Big Bear has a long and vibrant history with mountain biking. Join us for a free 20-mile Poker Ride on Friday and get ready to tackle a thrilling 50K XC adventure on Saturday. We're busy planning the 2026 route and have some exciting updates to share soon.

Free Events

Everyone's welcome! Free fun like the Poker Ride (20-mile casual lap around the lake—collect cards for prizes), Glow Ride (light up the night with costumes and lights—best dressed wins), Family Fun Ride, kids' events, recovery rides, and more. Bring the whole crew for mountain memories that last.

OVERVIEW We strive to offer something fun for every rider, no matter your age or ability. From the free Poker Ride to our high-energy Cycling Expo, there's something for everyone at Tour de Big Bear.

BIG BEAR CYCLING EXPO

The weekend hub at Bear Mountain Resort—vendor booths, bike demos, live music, Bikes & Brews Fest, food, drinks, and good times. Meet fellow riders, check out gear, and soak up the festival energy Friday through Saturday.

FAMILY FUN RIDE

Enjoy a fun loop around the streets of Big Bear – a great opportunity for kids to enjoy the fun of the Tour de Big Bear.  Plus, our Family Fun Ride is free!

KIDS ZONE

Our Cycling Expo also includes some great FREE family activities including:

  • Bike obstacle course – bring your bikes!
  • Kid’s Balance Bike Race
  • Bounce house to burn off some energy
  • Giant Jenga, checkers and Yahtzee
  • Face painting
  • Kid’s bike mechanic and tune-ups
  • Kids’ bike raffle (free to enter!)

FRIDAY NIGHT GLOW RIDE

Join us as we light up the night in Big Bear!  The Friday Night Glow Ride is a fun way to kick off the Tour de Big Bear weekend with your family. It’s FREE and open to the public.

Sign up in the Expo area at Bear Mountain Resort.  Bust out those costumes and lights and parade around the town.

POKER RIDE

Grab a poker card at each aid station on this fun, casual ride. Best three-card hands win great prizes! Sign up on-site at the Expo near registration. Perfect way to kick off the weekend.
