DIRTY BEAR / DIRTY CUB GRAVEL RIDES

Need a little dirt under your tires?  The Tour de Big Bear Dirty Bear and Dirty Cub rides are the answer.  Held the same day as the Tour de Big Bear and utilizing some of the famous Tour de Big Bear aid stations!

Cash prizes for KOM/QOM Challenge!

The Dirty Bear is 50 miles of mixed surface fun on the roads and trails of Big Bear Lake.  The Dirty Cub is a shorter version of the Dirty Bear course with 25 miles of flowy fun!

Tires: We suggest Kenda Booster PRO as a great tire to roll up here. What ever you roll make it 40C+, tough sidewalls, low pressures and tubeless

No E-Bikes in the Gravel Events

E-bikes are allowed in the Tour de Big Bear road events only.  E-bikes will not be allowed in the Dirty Bear or Dirty Cub gravel events due to Forest Service restrictions on use of e-bikes on single track trails.

For those of you asking about holding the gravel event on Sunday, we hear you.  However, gravel event aid stations are in conjunction with the Tour de Big Bear event and at this time it’s not feasible to have the quality aid stations that we enjoy supplying on a second day.

  • Two day Cycling Expo
  • Family friendly activities including a free Family Fun Ride for all ages on the quiet backstreets of Big Bear, face painting and a bounce house!
