Need a little dirt under your tires?  The Tour de Big Bear Dirty Bear and Dirty Cub rides are the answer. Big Bear Lake is known for its epic gravel riding. Our scenic fire roads, world-class single track, and breathtaking views of the lake will not disappoint. Plus, we offer cash prizes for the Dirty Bear KOM/QOM Challenge!

The Dirty Bear is 50 miles of mixed surface fun on the roads and trails of Big Bear Lake.  The Dirty Cub is a shorter version of the Dirty Bear course with 25 miles of flowy fun.

All races and events start on Saturday, August 1, at Bear Mountain Resort.

Yes—full aid stations, SAG support, timing, and the same wristband/number-plate system as road events. Courses close at 5:00 pm.

Unfortunately, Big Bear trails are for acoustic bikes only. Forest Service rules prohibit motorized vehicles on singletrack and certain trails used in the gravel routes.

Yes—timing chips are used. Plus, riders can participate in KOM/QOM challenges on course (fastest male/female awards).

Flowy mix of fire roads, dirt roads, and scenic trails through Big Bear’s beautiful backcountry (some routes extend toward Lucerne Valley).

Um, absolutely perfect (knock on wood…). Early August averages highs around 80°F (27°C) and lows around 49°F (9°C). It can be dry in the summer – hydrate heavily, use sunscreen, and bring layers (it can be chilly at night).
