TOUR de BIG BEAR EVENT DETAILS

Friday, July 31st – Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 at Bear Mountain Resort in Big Bear Lake, California

More than just Southern California’s favorite ride! The Tour de Big Bear was named the #1 Gran Fondo in North America by Gran Fondo Guide in 2023 and again made the top ten for 2025! Our gravel ride is consistently ranked in the Top 10 by Gravel California – it’s one for the bucket list! NEW for 2026 we are inviting Pro Category MTB racers to compete for a $5,000 purse!

The Tour de Big Bear features legendary aid stations, beautiful mountain scenery and spectacular summer weather. With the Family Fun Ride, Glow Ride, Road Tours, plus our MTB race and Gravel rides: there’s something for every cycling enthusiast and events happening all weekend for riders and non-riders of all ages.

Tour de Big Bear Golden Bear VIP Pass

Upgrade your Tour de Big Bear Experience with the Golden Bear VIP Pass, available as an add-on during your registration process.  If you’ve already registered, you can add it by logging into your Active.com account.

Highlights of the package include:

  • Reserved Parking in the Upper Lot at Big Bear Mountain Resort
  • $25 Meal Voucher at Big Bear Mountain Resort
  • Tour de Big Bear Jersey
  • Bear’s Den Rider Lounge Access (private bar, free buffet, massage table, and more)
  • Bikes & Brews Beer Tasting with a special glass and 10 tasting tickets

Big Bear Cycling Expo

The free Big Bear Cycling Expo will be held Friday and Saturday and is open to the public.  Visit our vendor booths, listen to live music, enjoy a beer or cocktail and socialize with friends.  Plus, take advantage of our free, on-site bike valet.

Free Family/Kid-Friendly Activities

Our Cycling Expo also includes some great FREE family activities including:

  • Bike obstacle course – bring your bikes!
  • Kid’s Balance Bike Race
  • Bounce house to burn off some energy
  • Giant Jenga, checkers and Yahtzee
  • Face painting
  • Kid’s bike mechanic and tune-ups
  • FREE Kid’s bike raffle!

 

Bikes & Brews Beer Tasting

Beer tasting Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm!  Several breweries will be onsite showcasing their finest crafts. Available at an additional charge.

Free Rides – Open to the Public

The BBCA Friday Night Glow Ride 
Join us as we light up the night in Big Bear!  Bust out those costumes and lights and parade around the town! Awards for best decorated bikes and costumes!

Friday Poker Ride
The Poker Ride is about 20 miles and is a great way to get acclimated prior to the event. This is a first come, first serve event and space is limited to 250 riders. To ensure your spot, make sure to sign up early that day (onsite registration only).

Sunday Morning Recovery Rides
Join us for an easy spin around one or both lakes, or for some fun gravel grinding above the lakes! The Tour de Big Bear and Dirty Bear/Cub Gravel recovery rides both start from Copper Q in the Village.

Adaptive Cyclists

We welcome and encourage cyclists of all ages and abilities to join us. If you have a question about facilities or our courses, please contact us at bigbearcycling@gmail.com.

E-Bikes

E-bikes are allowed in the Tour de Big Bear road events only.  E-bikes will not be allowed in the Dirty Bear or Dirty Cub gravel events due to Forest Service restrictions on use of e-bikes on single track trails.

If you choose to participate in the Tour de Big Bear road events using an E-bike or any other motor assisted vehicle, you will be assuming all risk and burden in any maintenance or assistance required resulting in any difficulties or breakdowns  of that vehicle.  Tour de Big Bear will not be able to assist you with any problems you might have.

E-bikes and any other motor assisted vehicles will be exempt from winning any Strava Segments and Awards.

The Tour de Big Bear is sanctioned by USA Cycling.
(USA Cycling membership is NOT required to participate in the Tour de Big Bear.)
